How to Fix Cracked Laptop Case
My Alienware
15 R3 had a very unfortunate accident and fell down and hit a hard object. The
damage is not serious enough, and the laptop can work. However, the laptop case
in the front right corner area was damaged with a gap.
One of the dangers of owning a laptop
is the tendency for the laptop to fall violently. You may still need to repair
a laptop that accidentally dropped. Laptop casings are almost always made of
plastic, so you can use multiple techniques to fix the cracks yourself.
How to Fix a Crack
on a Laptop Case
1. Wipe the work area completely to
prevent foreign matter from attaching to the repair material. Clean the cracks
with a can of dust-removing air. Please check this thoroughly.
2. If the crack is small enough, you
can apply super glue on either side of the crack. After two minutes of putting
the two together, they should stay in touch.
3. If the crack is large or there are
holes in the laptop, the super glue may not be enough to adhere to it. In some
cases, the user should apply a mass of epoxy putty to the cracked area. After
filling the cracks and flattening the epoxy putty with a flat object, you can
wipe off the excess. After epoxy putty has enough time to dry (usually a few
hours), it can be sanded and painted to match the color of the laptop case. Or
apply the coating on your laptop.
Although many people think that laptop
damage can only be repaired by the manufacturer or computer store, some
problems can be solved cheaply and easily by using ordinary tools, spare parts
and a small amount of effort. Need more laptop accessories and laptop case, GEMWON
