Apple might copy the functionality for the updated MacBook Air 13

Since 2015, the latest MacBook Air13 has received some minor feature updates:
·         Intel 5th-gen Core i7-5650U or Core i5-5350U
·         8GB of LPDDR3/1600 RAM
·         13.3-inch 1440x900 TN screen
·         Proprietary 128GB or 256GB SSD
For ports it has:
·         Thunderbolt 2
·         Two USB 3.0 Type A (5Gbps) ports
·         SD card reader
Apple sells a laptop for more than $1,000 that’s using parts largely introduced in 2015. Not to say the MacBook Air 13 is a terrible laptop, but today’s iteration would feel right at home in a museum with dinosaurs.

Facial recognition

Anyone who’s used a Windows Hello laptop can tell you just how great it is to skip typing in your password. But with Windows Hello and a biometric face reader, you can basically tap your sleeping laptop’s keyboard with an elbow and have it log you in while keeping both hands on your Krispy Krunchy Chicken. Yes, Windows Hello and Krispy Krunchy Chicken are that good. Even better: Windows Hello works even when the entire laptop is turned over into tablet mode. Try that with your iPhone X

Fingerprint reader

Biometric infrared cameras are not cheap, and we understand that a company likes its profit margins very much. So, if the $1,350 MacBook Air 13 doesn't get the $400 Microsoft Surface Go standard feature, might it be a fingerprint reader? Today they are very rich on PCs at various prices and allow MacBook Air 13 users to open their laptops and log in with one hand.

A real HD screen

The 1280x800p display on the original MacBook Air 13 began in 2008. The screen resolution is 1440x900, and the $1,350 MacBook Air 13 is priced at 2018. However, this is a standard screen that has been basically used in MacBook Air 13 since 2010.
To make matters worse: it's a TN panel, the same display technology as the $150 Chromebook and the $300 Windows PC. To be fair, Apple's TN panels are usually well suited for TN panels.

The best keyboard

While some may argue that selling technology models with chip technology of the 2015s at $1,350 in 2018 sounds more like the incredible dystopian sci-fi movies on Netflix - we recognize Apple's keyboard and Trackpad technology is among the best.
The good news is that when Apple opens your dead MacBook Air 13 from your hands, you get an improved butterfly keyboard, and the MacBook Air 13 is the only laptop without a butterfly keyboard.

Function key

It's hard to find a PC laptop without a function key, and this situation is unlikely to change. However, Apple is obsessed with the Touch Bar, although it always allows customers to wait patiently.
This feature is mainly limited to higher-priced laptops, so we don't want the Touch Bar to appear on laptops priced at $1,350. But Apple is likely to do what PC makers have been doing and use physical function keys on the updated MacBook Air 13.

Narrow bezels

Well, the MacBook Air 13 looks that bad if not worse. So, hopefully, Apple decides to copy what PC makers have been doing for some time now with narrow bezels.

These are some of the new features that MacBook Air13 may have, no matter what, it should be for a better customer experience.
