In this article, the ThinkPad P50 is
disassembled to understand the internal component structure of the Lenovo P50.
The disassembly of the ThinkPad P50 is still relatively easy. First remove all
screws at the bottom, including the four screws under the battery compartment
and the back cover, and then remove the keyboard to see the component of the
P50.
After
removing the keyboard, you can see the large roll cage. Except for some
interfaces and parts that may need to be replaced, the rest are basically
covered by the roll cage. The roll cage is made of magnesium aluminum alloy,
which is very strong and can effectively protect the internal hardware and
structure of the fuselage. At the same time, the roll cage can also play a
certain role in assisting heat dissipation.
In
addition to the roll cage, the surface h is anti-static. Anti-static stickers
will appear in places that are not covered by the roll cage. Anti-static
stickers mainly appear on some hardware, such as memory and network cards. The back cover is more comprehensive, and
all the units basically integrated on the motherboard are covered. Anti-static
stickers can effectively prevent the static electricity from puncturing parts
caused by the environment, and play a certain protective role.
In
addition to excellent internal protection, there are plenty of slots on the
motherboard. There are four memory slots, two below the keyboard and two at the
bottom. They support up to 64GB DDR4 memory and also support ECC error
correction. There are two SSD slots (M.2), which are located on the right side
of the power supply. Support group raid 0, 2.5-inch hard disk compartment on
the right side of the SSD. This machine has 16GB DDR4 memory, 512GB SSD and 1TB
HDD, which is advanced configuration in basic parameters of hardware.
ThinkPad P50 internal
